BalajiTechLabs ("we", "our", or "us") operates the QuickDash mobile application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and safeguarding of personal data when you use our Service, as well as your privacy rights under applicable laws, including the requirements set forth by the Google Play Developer Policy.

1. Data Collection and Usage

QuickDash is designed with a strict privacy-first architecture. We do not require you to create an account, nor do we actively collect, store, or transmit your personally identifiable information (PII) to our servers. The Service operates primarily offline.

A. Local Device Data

Any data you generate within the app—including but not limited to Quick Notes, Clipboard History, Custom Search Engines, and App Preferences—is stored exclusively on your device's local encrypted storage (via Android Room Database and DataStore). This data never leaves your device and cannot be accessed by us.

B. Biometric Data (App Lock)

If you utilize the Biometric App Lock feature, QuickDash interacts solely with Android's native BiometricPrompt API. Your fingerprint or facial recognition data is processed entirely within your device's secure hardware enclave. We do not collect, process, or store your biometric data.

C. Device Permissions

In order to provide specific functionalities, QuickDash may request the following permissions:

• Camera: Used exclusively for scanning QR codes. Image data is processed locally in real-time and is never recorded or transmitted.
• Notifications: Used to display the QuickDash background service status and floating bubble controls.
• Display over other apps: Required to draw the QuickDash floating bubble overlay on your screen.
• Internet Access: Required to perform your custom web searches and transmit anonymous crash reports.

2. Third-Party Services and Analytics

While we do not collect personal data, we utilize industry-standard third-party services to monitor app stability and ensure a seamless user experience. These third-party services may collect hardware and usage information automatically:

• Google Play Services: Required for core Android operating system functionalities.
• Firebase Crashlytics: We use this service to collect anonymous crash reports. If the app encounters a fatal error, a report is generated containing the device model, operating system version, and the specific line of code that failed. This data is entirely anonymous and is used strictly for debugging purposes.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

Because your user data (notes, history, settings) is stored locally on your device, you maintain full control over it. You can permanently delete all your data at any time by:

• Clearing the app's Storage and Cache via your Android device's Settings app.
• Uninstalling the QuickDash application from your device.

Anonymous crash analytics data stored on Firebase Crashlytics is automatically purged in accordance with Google's standard 90-day retention policies.

4. Security of Data

The security of your data is important to us. QuickDash relies on the underlying security architecture of the Android Operating System (Sandboxing, Encrypted SharedPreferences). While no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, we use commercially acceptable means to protect your local data.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in legal or regulatory obligations. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
